Proceeds will benefit the Oasis Center, an organization on a mission to help young people in Middle Tennessee move into a happy, healthy, and productive adulthood. Every year the Oasis Center engages more than 3,500 youth and families across a broad spectrum of programs and services designed to help them reach their full potential.

The Westminster Cafe Music & Art Ministry is committed to inspire, support, and amplify the diverse voices that shape the rich tapestry of the Nashville songwriter community.

DEBRA GRINER

Debra’s passion for music began during her early childhood in New Jersey. In addition to singing, Debra loved acting and it was the call of the theatre that brought her to New York City in her early 20s. There she appeared off-Broadway and on the Cabaret scene while also teaching theater. Soon she felt the need to pursue her dream of becoming a singer-songwriter so she moved to Nashville. She has honed her craft and along the way has been embraced by some of the city’s most respected writers like Buddy Mondlock, mega-hit writer Rory Bourke, and Grammy-winners Steve Leslie, Don Henry and Jon Vezner.

WT DAVIDSON

WT hails from Iowa and moved to Nashville in the fall of 1974 to pursue work as a performing songwriter. He has had a number of songs recorded and performed by artists such as Crystal Gale (“Paintin’ This Old Town Blue”), Millie Jackson (“The Blues Don’t Get Tired of Me”), Ray Charles (“They Call It Love”), and Michael Johnson (“She’s Real” and “Gee, I’m Glad I Worried About That”). WT performs in various locations as both a band member and solo performer.

JIM MORAN

Jim Moran is a long-time songwriter in the Nashville community. He began playing the guitar at age 12. He’s opened or shared bills with national acts such as Dave Van Ronk, Artie Traum, Laura Nyro, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Buddy Mondlock, and Greg Brown. He has also written songs and shared the stage with some of Nashville’s finest singer/ songwriters/musicians, and edited and wrote arrangements for the Randy Newman For Guitar song folio published in 2005.

ED BRANDING

Ed took piano lessons as a child and eventually began playing by ear. Following a divorce, Ed found himself writing by happenstance. He is drawn to melodies and enjoys sharing instrumental works with those at the Westminster Cafe on Tuesday mornings. He plays the Bluebird Cafe twice a year, is the cocktail music for fundraising events, is part of Good Friday and Thanksgiving services at area churches, and plays on Wednesday evenings when Westminster hosts Room In The Inn and goes to Drexel Street to feed there.
