Pottery Open Studio

For Intermediate and Experienced Potters

Guidelines

  1. This is NOT a class. This Open Studio is created for those who have gone through a beginners class and are ready to play more on their own. You are welcome to make your own designs while asking the more experienced potters in the room for ideas and about techniques.

  2. Clay, tools and glazes will be provided as well as firing pieces.

  3. The coordinator will schedule firing when there are enough pieces and will talk with the class about that scheduling.

  4. The coordinator will send emails to confirm the day’s attendance. (Joy in Learning requires two persons to be in a room.)

  5. Individuals are responsible for cleaning up their supplies.

  6. Since our teachers are all volunteers, we encourage participants in the Open Studio to pay it forward in helping with future classes. There is no fee with these sessions but an opportunity to practice.

As a community of potters, we will be helping each other!
